Toby Witte-Dix passed away on April 28, 2018 after fighting a serious illness. Toby was a long time friend, mentor, and Board member of the DeafBlind Camp of Maryland.  Toby was a wonderful friend to many and a central part of Deafblind Camp.

There was a memorial service for Toby after Pastor Peggy Johnson gave presentation to celebrate 20 years of camp on June 11, 2018 (Click here to view slide show).   You will see a poem below, in English sign language, ASL sign language, and Word versions and several pictures.  This poem was read at her memorial service and was written by her daughter, Carol Cotton.  DeafBlind Camp of MD planted this tree in honor of Toby for her many years of dedicated service to the DeafBlind Camp of Maryland and to the DeafBlind Community.
