DeafBlind or Judaic interpreting Volunteers for 2017

Our friend, Leslie Foxman, is looking for volunteers! Feel free to contact her at [email protected]

=================
Good afternoon everyone,

You are receiving this e-mail because you are involved in either DeafBlind or Judaic interpreting, or have expressed an interest or skill in either.  We may or may not know each other personally: you may have been ‘referred’ to me through a mutually-known colleague.
The 5th DeafBlind Shabbaton will be held June 16-18, 2017 at the Pearlstone Retreat Center near Baltimore, MD.  We expect to have at least 15 DeafBlind participants, and so are looking for approximately 40-75 interpreters and Support Service Providers (SSPs) through the weekend.  If you are at all interested, please reply to this e-mail, and I can forward more details.  Basically, we welcome any and (almost) all offers of your time and skills…a 4-hour shift one day, or the whole weekend (approx 2pm Fri throughnoon on Sun).  Room and board can be provided, depending on your shift and needs.  We may also be able to assist with transportation via carpools and/or some shuttling to and from a local hub (ie, BWI or Penn Station in Balt).
I try very hard to keep my list of contacts updated, so please let me know if you’d like to be permanently removed from this kind of solicitation.  If you have previously done so, and I missed it (thus, why you are still receiving this), please accept my apologies.  Also let me know if you are not available or interested this year, but wouldn’t mind receiving info about other/ future opportunities.
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider this, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Happy New Year, too.  🙂
Leslie
